Some brands start with a grand vision. Ours started with a bad sock — and a simple question: why is the thing we wear every single day so consistently disappointing?
Not dramatically bad. Just the ordinary kind we've all made peace with — cotton that pills after a few washes, a cuff that grips too hard and leaves a mark before giving out by month two, and the one sock that vanishes somewhere between the washer and the dryer, never to be seen again.
We decided that wasn't good enough.
We're two people in New York, and we set out to do one deceptively simple thing: make a sock worth keeping. The best version of the thing you pull on every morning without thinking — because when it's right, you don't have to.
After months of research (and, honestly, buying almost every sock on Amazon), we landed on combed cotton. Combing strips out the short, rough fibers before they're ever spun in — the fibers behind the pilling, the scratch, and the worn-out look most socks get by their third wash. We knit it fine, finish it soft, and add just enough nylon and elastic for durability and a fit that stays up without leaving marks. Pillowy on day one. The same on day three hundred.
We wanted it to work everywhere you do — the gym, the office, a slow jog on a cold morning.
And then there's the bag. We were just as frustrated by what happens after you buy a good sock as by the socks themselves, so we built the solution into the packaging. Every set ships inside a reusable fine-mesh wash bag: keep your pairs together in the wash, protect your delicates, take it when you travel. It's not packaging you throw away — it's part of the product.
We're not building this for ourselves. We're building it for anyone who's settled for "good enough" too long — for everyone who's ever lost a sock to the void and thought, there has to be a better way.
There is. Welcome to the crew.
Do the basics, and do them right. That's the whole thing.
